It is with great joy that I would like to welcome you to my website. I am now in my 86th year and have worked with children and adults all my life. I have seen their passions, their knowledge and incredible insights and intuitive wisdom, their abilities, their struggles and their misunderstandings and pain. This web site will afford me the opportunity to share my philosophy of education which has been the basis of my life's work along with my husband and my parents before me. We have founded schools in Germany, Switzerland, and America as documented in the movie Across Time and Space (see Publications page for details).

For over forty years we ran the Roeper City and Country School which became a school for gifted children. Our mission was based on the fact that growth and learning is driven by a child's inner agenda, a child's self, not only their intellect. This is especially evident when we are trying to help the gifted child find his or her place in this world. There is a goldmine of hidden creativity in each one of these children, which could blossom into spiritual, emotional scientific growth. Then if their doors were open between the inner world of the individual and the outer world of society, bridges would begin to connect them and knowledge -- thoughts and emotions would flow freely between them. To contribute to the accomplishment of this great goal continues to drive my life passionately.

I now have the opportunity to share this passion with others, as well as my knowledge and experience.  I would also like to express my love and gratitude for all that I have learned from these parents and children and most of all from my own children and grandchildren. I hope here you will find that my accumulated knowledge and experiences will be useful for you in your own life's journey with your children.
